Mark smith is a licensed clinical social worker

whose early career was established in the world of work as the Director of clinical services to nurses, doctors, and staff at the EAPs of NYU Medical Center and Downtown Hospital in New York City.

In private practice since 2001, Mark is a leading developer, teacher, and clinician of neurofeedback interventions for a variety of disorders. He was the first user of Z score training in the world. As an early adopter and developer of Z Score training, he worked closely with Thomas Collura from Brainmaster Inc. and Robert Thatcher from Applied Neuroscience Inc to develop Z Score interventions for various disorders. These protocols, that he developed and continues to construct, are the most frequently used interventions in Z Score Training worldwide.

Infra-slow Fluctuation (ISF) training, now a primary intervention in EEG-Biofeedback therapy, was developed by Mark from his experience training the the “Ultradian” rhythms: the lowest energy the brain produces. This type of neurofeedback has had a profound, positive, impact on the lives of his clients, as well as, the clients of the hundreds of therapists he has taught over the years.

Dr. Tate is the Director of Neurotherapy Services at the

Rocky Mountain Memory Center(RMMC) in Fort Collins. The RMMC is a neuropsychological clinic that specializes in adult and geriatric evaluations and neurocognitive rehabilitation. She has been doing Neurofeedback for 12 years, and has been board certified in Neurofeedback since March of 2006. Certification demonstrates professionalism and adherence to carefully developed standards as a health care provider.

Procedures are consistent with the Department of Health & Human Services Guidelines, giving credibility and evidence that practitioners maintain knowledge and skill levels. I work with anxiety, attention, bipolar and sleep disorders as the Director of Neurotherapy Services at the Rocky Mountain Memory Center in Fort Collins, CO. I also work with depression, addictions, trauma, and pain issues in my Golden and Denver offices.

With a Ph.D. in counseling from the College of William & Mary, Dr. Tate has been a licensed professional counselor since 2007. She has worked with multiple types of disorders using Neurofeedback throughout the years, and is an active member of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research.

Dr. Collura has more than 40 years experience

as a biomedical engineer, neurophysiologist, and mental health professional. He has conducted clinical research and development and system design, in the areas of evoked potentials, microelectronics, human factors, EEG mapping for epilepsy surgery, and neurofeedback. His work integrates philosophy, psychology, biology, computers, and electronics. His graduate work focused on the real-time measurement of visual and auditory evoked potentials, and relationships with selective attention in a vigilance task.

He then spent 8 years with AT&T Bell Laboratories as a technical staff member and supervisor in the areas of integrated circuit technology, computer graphics, networking, and man/machine interfaces. He then served from 1988 to 1996 on the Staff of the Department of Neurology, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he conducted research and development in EEG mapping for epilepsy surgery, long-term EEG monitoring, and DC brain potentials. As a consultant to industry, he has designed software and hardware for computerized tomography, automated radiometry, and automated imaging.

Since 1995, Doctor Collura has been founder and president of BrainMaster Technologies, Inc. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, abstracts, and papers. He holds 3 patents and has 3 patents pending, all in the areas of neurofeedback, electrode technology, and evoked potential methods and systems. His current interests focus on research and development of automated neurofeedback systems, evoked potential neurofeedback, and low-cost quantitative EEG. He is also Past President of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR). He is a licensed mental health counselor (LPC), and Clinical Director of the Brain Enrichment Center, Bedford, OH. Dr. Griffin is also on the affiliate medical staff at Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center in Emporia, VA. He sells hardware and software and provides training in Biofeedbak, Neurofeedback, and QEEG and provides technical and clinical support for many groups across the country.
He is the author of CD for relaxation, and manuals for Headaches, Insomnia, and Stress Management.

He designed and sells Happy Max, a supplement formula with amino acid precursors to increase the production of dopamine, serotonin, GABA and nor epinephrine to improve mental and emotional function. After a trial period, it has shown great benefits for impulsivity, attention, alertness and mood. At present he is starting a double blind pilot study using QEEG, ERP, IVA and Conner’s questionnaires.

ANDRE KEIZER

Dr. Keizer has a background in Cognitive

Neuroscience and has published scientific papers about Neurofeedback, consciousness, memory and cognitive control, using research tools such as EEG/ERP and fMRI. He has taught at top Universities in the Netherlands and is responsible for initiating several lines of Neurofeedback research in Universities and applied research institutes.

BILL SCOTT

Bill Scott is the principal investigator and first

author of an addiction research project that yielded a 79% success rate with Native American alcoholics. This study was with Dr. Eugene Peniston (in press). An interview with Bill by the Psychiatric Times was published as a feature article. Bill Scott has also presented research at the American Association for the Advancement of Science with Dr. David Kaiser. Bill trained the researchers Dr. John Gruzelier and Dr. Tobias Egner (members of Department of Cognitive Neuroscience and Behaviour, Imperial College Medical School) in the use of alpha-theta protocols. The results of this research project so improved music abilities among Royal Conservatoire of Music students that the Conservatoire has made these protocols a mandatory part of the schools curriculum.

Bill has been published in the January 2000 issue of Clinical Electroencephalography (EEG), an official journal of the EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS). He contributed a chapter on alpha-theta EEG biofeedback in Jim Robbins’ Book, “A Symphony in the Brain.” He was the Principal Investigator for a large controlled study (n=121) on poly drug abusers at CRI-Help in North Hollywood, which he presented May 23rd, 2002 at the American Psychiatric Associations annual convention in Philadelphia. He also taught a workshop on anxiety disorders with Thomas Brod, M.D. at this conference.

Bill has been training EEG biofeedback practitioners since 1996 and has taught more than two thousand practitioners in the use of EEG biofeedback in clinical practice.

He is also co-authoring Dr. Eugene Peniston’s 10-year follow-up to Peniston’s first alcoholism study. This paper will include a summary of all previously published research on alpha-theta EEG biofeedback.

In association with Michael Hoffman, Bill is also currently involved with the Narcotics Division of the American Embassy in South America where they are teaching their protocols to other researchers in order to quickly replicate their work in Latin America. He participated in the 4th annual Meeting of Experts on Demand Reduction for the Organization of American States.

Bill is the co-investigator of a study on post traumatic Stress Disorder at U.C.L.A.’s Neuropsychiatric Institute with Dr. Lobsang Rapgay (Director of the UCLA Biobehavioral Medical Clinic). Citing the work of Bill Scott and colleagues, Dr. Frank Duffy, editor of the journal Neurology, states, “The literature, which lacks any negative study of substance, suggests that EEG biofeedback should play a major therapeutic role in many difficult areas. In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy it would be universally accepted and widely used.”

Christen Stahl is the associate clinical director

at the Brain Enrichment Center. She completed her Masters in both Community and School Counseling from Regent University (Virginia Beach, Virginia). During that time, she utilized neurofeedback during a 9-month internship with Fly Family Therapy in Newport News, Virginia.

The experience under Dr. F. L. Fly allowed Christen to work with a diverse population and wide range of mental health concerns, gaining experience with clients from age 2 to an elderly stroke survivor in a nursing/rehabilitation center. It was amidst this period when she came to understand the restorative potential of combining mental health counseling and neurofeedback.

Currently, she is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Ohio, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and certified in neurofeedback (BCN) through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA).

She is a member of Chi Sigma Iota, a counseling honor society and the American Counseling Association (ACA). Christen has co-authored an article for The Journal of Neurotherapy (2013, Volume 17, Issue 3) and co-presented a workshop entitled “Neurofeedback and Biofeedback: Research, Practice, and Microskills Development” at the 2014 American Counseling Association Conference, and was the primary presenter for “Neurofeedback Introduction for Mental Health Counselors” at the 2015 American Counseling Association Conference.

Dr. David A. Kaiser is an applied clinical

neuroscientist with entrepreneurial and academic experience. He is a developer of quantitative EEG tools. He is the Senior Editor of the Journal of Neurotherapy, fellow of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, President-elect of the Neurofeedback Division of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, founding member of SABA, and has taught neuropsychology and neuroscience courses, including quantitative EEG analysis, at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

He has a Ph.D. in Psychology from University of California at Los Angeles, an M.F.A. from University of Iowa, and a B.A. in English from Cornell University. His dissertation examined attentional processing across individuals during the watching of films, a very L.A.-based research.

David’s interests include neurotherapy, cognitive neuroscience, autism, synchrony between individuals, and connections between cosmology and consciousness.

Dr. Dolores Glaxiola was born in Mexico City,

where she has always lived. She studied Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de México and it was where she started her broad teaching experience. She has been always interested in the comprehensive healthcare; Dolores first stared working as a general doctor and always showing interest in the relation between the patient’s emotional state and their health.

Dolores got her Masters Degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health at the Universitat Oberta de Calaluna by conducting the literary research work: “Psychoneuroimmunology of some psychiatric diseases”. She has specialized studies in Family and Couples Therapy by giving the presentation: “Neurosciences in the family therapy”, she also has specialized studies in Addictions, and she earned a Diploma in Eating Disorders.

She started studying and using Biofeedback, finding a practical application to the neurosciences. Thanks to the Neurofeedback, she has been able to treat patients in a complete way. Committed to it and its correct practice in Mexico, she has studied in order to obtain the Diploma of Global Neurofeedback Initiative Instructor, hoping to spread the correct knowledge and application of Neurofeedback, not just in Mexico but also any Spanish speaking country.

She founded her clinic “NEUROSCIENCES AND THERAPY” in 2004, where she is happy to personally treat each one of her patients and students that have reached out to her looking to learn the practice of Neurofeedback.

Dr. Gail Sanders Durgin, Ph.D. has been helping

people and changing lives since 2000 in her field of expertise, Neurofeedback.

Dr. Durgin became interested in Neurofeedback after her own children had been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder. She was unable to find treatment that was helpful for her daughter who had developed additional symptoms after her ADD diagnosis and treatment. After investigating a number of alternate therapies, Dr. Durgin started her training in neurofeedback and purchased equipment. She trained her children and reduced their ADD symptoms as well as the additional symptoms her daughter had acquired. Her children were able to stop their ADHD medications but continued to request additional training to boost their academic and creative skills.

Neurofeedback Associates Inc. was started in 2000, after Dr. Durgin completed her initial training and supervision. In 2001, she met Dr. Barry Sterman, the discoverer of Neurofeedback. He mentored her personally for over two years while she was learning EEG Quantitative Analysis. She continues to study with Dr. Sterman. Dr. Durgin has also studied with many of the leading researchers and professionals in the field of Neurofeedback including Thomas Collura, Mark Smith, Robert Thatcher, Linda and Michael Thompson, Len Ochs, Joel Lubar, Adam Crain, Marty Wuttke, and others. She has written articles on neurofeedback and has been referenced in two published Neurofeedback books.

Dr. Durgin is certified in EEG Biofeedback as a Fellow by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. She is also certified in Quantitative EEG by the QEEG Certification Board and credentialed by SABA in QEEG (The Society for the Advancement of Brain Analysis). She is also a Certified Neurofeedback Instructor by Stress Therapy Solutions and a part of the Global Neurofeedback Initiative training program. Her professional memberships include the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, The Society for the Advancement of Brain Analysis as well as the North Carolina Biofeedback Society.

Her career began with a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972. She worked for New York State for 18 years in child psychiatry, adult psychiatry, and developmental disabilities (including autism and mental retardation). Her positions included being a direct therapist, therapy supervisor, treatment team leader for a residential treatment unit, and Director of Training for the New York City Region for a variety of professionals working with developmentally disabled clients in community settings. She completed her doctorate from New York University in 1998 where she was also an instructor.

Dr. Durgin is a Licensed Recreational Therapist by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure and certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. She is also a certified Stress Management Trainer, a certified Hypnotherapist and a certified Reiki Practitioner.

Dr. Kerasidis received his bachelor of science

degree in zoology at George Washington University in 1981. He completed a master of science degree in human physiology at Georgetown University in 1982. He was awarded his doctor of medicine from Georgetown University where he also completed his internship and neurology residency.

In 1991, Dr. Kerasidis was granted a fellowship in clinical neuro-physiology at Georgetown University. His training included clinical experience in epilepsy, involving evaluation of medically refractory seizures for potential surgical intervention, intraoperative electrodiagnostic mornitoring, evoked potentials, topographical mapping, EMG and the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.

Dr. Kerasidis has been a member of the Calvert Memorial Hospital Medical Staff since 1992. He has been the Director of Calvert Memorial Hospital’s Sleep Disorders Center since 1993, and Director of the Stroke Center since 2007, and the Director of the Center for Neuroscience since it began in 2010.

In 1990, Dr. Kerasidis received the Hugh H. Hussey Award for excellence in teaching. He has held teaching appointments at Georgetown University School of Medicine, Georgetown School of Nursing and Georgetown University. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the International Headache Society.

Dr. Jake Elliott is a clinical psychologist and director

of a private practice clinic in Toledo, Ohio employing a variety of mental health providers. The practice offers psychotherapy services, peripheral biofeedback and neurotherapy for all ages. He has served as an associate editor for the Journal of Neurotherapy for 10 years.

Though he was not the developer of biofeedback, QEEG and neurotherapy, Elliott was there when it all happened. He had early training with Elmer Green and Dale Walters at the Menninger Foundation, Joe Kamiya, Joel Lubar and Barry Sterman. He not only was a part of the history of the fields of biofeedback and neurotherapy, but an avid student and practitioner of the use of these methods on a daily basis. He has also trained and supervised other clinicians in the use of biofeedback and neurotherapy. He has recently been certified as a Global Neurofeedback Initiative trainer. He was in the first group of professionals to become certified by the BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance) and a lifelong member of ISNR (International Society for Neurofeedback Research).

He has published several articles in the field of neurotherapy (including one with his daughter Debora, who has her own private practice of Neurotherapy in Boulder, Colorado and is a Global Neurofeedback Initiative trainer). Jake has in the past and is now once again conducting neurofeedback research in conjunction with the University Of Toledo, Medical College.

Jeff Reich presents a unique history that

demonstrates an ability to relate to a wide diversity of clients. After graduating from the University of Florida having earned a BS in Zoology (Pre-Med, Football), he was offered an opportunity to excel in aviation. As an instructor for Flight Safety International in the early 80s he was instrumental in developing Pilot Operating Handbooks for Piper Aircraft and training programs on early flight simulators.

During the recession of the mid 80s Jeff entered the commercial real estate world rising to Executive Vice President of CentreCorp, Inc., where he managed the daily operations, assets, and computer systems for a major developer of Shopping Centers and retail business concerns in the Southeastern United States. In 1994, with an opportunity to “give back”, Jeff worked in counseling those with stock market trading and gambling addictions. Dr. Tarrant is an educator and Licensed

Psychologist. He has focused much of his career exploring a range of alternative and complementary methods of psychological treatment. His work currently utilizes several forms of technology-based therapies including neurofeedback, audio-visual entertainment, brain blood flow biofeedback (HEG) and Heart Rate Variability biofeedback (HRV). In addition, Dr. Tarrant has studied Qigong and meditation for the past 15 years and incorporates these ancient practices into his integrative model of treatment.

Dr. Tarrant currently has a private practice in Columbia, MO. At the University of Missouri, Dr. Tarrant served as a Health Psychologist where he taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Qigong, Nature-Based Mindfulness, Biofeedback and Functional Neuroscience. He was also co-owner of Spring Grove Counseling and Wellness Center for 12 years. Dr. Tarrant has experience working in public and parochial schools, hospitals, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, residential facilities and university counseling centers.

and Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Relationship Institute of Royal Oak, Michigan. Joe has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He has worked as a Research Psychologist and Consultant for General Motors and was the Clinical Director of Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for Medical Center Psychiatric Associates in Warren, Michigan.

He has worked as an Adjunct Professor for the Graduate College of the Union Institute, a Field Faculty Advisor for the Graduate Program at Norwich University and is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Alliance of Professional Psychology Providers.

Since 2001, Joe’s approach to private practice marketing has been highlighted numerous times in the Psychotherapy Finances newsletter. Joe has written three aticles on the business of private practice for Psychotherapy Networker magazine, including a feature article in the July/August 2007 issue of Psychotherapy Networker. Joe has also given numerous presentations on business and marketing.

John’s book “Getting Started with Neurofeedback” is required reading for all candidates who are aspiring to become certified by BCIA. His book emphasizes the importance of QEEG assessments. NxLink, NeuroGuide and NeuroRep maps are clearly displayed in his book along with a concise meaning and interpretation for each map. The EEG pattern for each of the following clinical disorders is illustrated by means of compressed spectral arrays, two dimensional graphs, topographical maps and brain wave morphology: ADHD, anxiety, depression and asperger’s disorder. The book was critiqued by Leslie Sherlin, Bob Gurnee and Tom Collura and was favorably reviewed by Corydon Hammond and the lateThomas Budzynski.

John’s career in neurofeedback started in 1998. QEEG was added to his practice in 2002 after receiving an introduction to QEEG from Joel Lubar at a 2 day Future Health seminar. Once a Lexicor NeuroSearch 24 was purchased (2002) his initial maps were processed by the ADD clinic in Scottsdale AZ. In the process of editing and processing maps Bob Gurnee acted as a mentor in explaining the finer points of QEEG. Since then countless maps have been processed in his clinic, Neurofeedback of S. VT LLC. In an attempt to improve his teaching John acquired data from 69 subjects and a rudimentary reference database was created. This (non-client) database structured EEG data in 8 bandwidths for 4 age groups ranging from 7-55 years of age. In 2006 at ISNR he had a poster presentation comparing his database results with NxLink and NeuroGuide. Attending most of the ISNR conferences since 2004 has assisted him in learning the import of data-led neurofeedback training. He has been a member of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research since 1999.

JOSEPH GUAN

Joseph Guan holds a Ph.D. in Education from

Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA (1994) and a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA (1778). The topic of his Ph.D. dissertation was on learning strategies. He was a secondary school teacher for twelve years and was a vice-principal of St. Joseph’s Institution and principal of St Patrick’s Secondary School for a total of nine years.

Dr Guan has been involved actively in corporate training for the last fifteen years, specializing in the areas of emotional intelligence, leadership, stress management, learning strategies, personal effectiveness, team building, speed reading, time management, creative thinking, coaching and counseling skills. He was a facilitator and trainer for Asia in teacher development programmes for the International Office of Catholic Education for several years (1986 – 1991).

He is an international corporate trainer who has conducted workshops/seminars in the United States, Guatemala, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and Singapore and has presented international papers on educational and human development in Italy, United States and India.

Dr Guan has vast experience in the area of counseling and coaching for the last twenty years. Penijean Gracefire has more than nine years of

experience working with both low functioning and high risk populations, including profoundly disturbed adolescents and adults with severe traumatic brain injury. She contracted for two years with the Center for Rational Living as a cognitive behavioral therapist, rehabilitating DUI and drug offenders on probation, and training new therapists.

She served as the Clinical Services Director at CNS Wellness of Tampa Bay for five years, using neurofeedback, biofeedback and cognitive behavioral interventions on populations with autistic spectrum disorder, chronic anxiety and depression, traumatic brain injury, substance abuse, ADHD and OCD. Dr. Powell is committed to changing the lives of

many through his dedication and his focus utilizing qEEG and Neurofeedback. Over the past ten years Dr. Powell has worked with thousands of patients with numerous disorders and with the addition of neurofeedback he has successfully helped his patients regain their physical, mental and emotional health.

Dr. Powell is no stranger to the rollercoaster ride of multiple diagnosis. When he was 10 years old his doctor prescribe valium to curb his hyperactivity. By the time he was 16 his doctors had changed his diagnosis and prescribe lithium. At the age of 19 when all else failed the doctors once again change his diagnosis and placed him on Ritalin. As the years progressed the doctors eventually gave up trying to figure out what was wrong with him. Fortunately Dr. Powell never gave up on himself.

Dr. Powell early on knew that there was more to the story than a diagnosis or a pharmaceutical medication to cure his ailments. He also knew there had to be answers to why he had challenges with focusing, impulsivity, hyperactivity and so on. School teachers would constantly tell him how intelligent he was and if he could just settle down and focus on his work he could become anything he choose to. But every time Dr. Powell would ask them how he could accomplish this task no one could give him any direction. It was for that reason that Dr. Powell decide at the age of 12 to begin a life long journey in search of the answers to the questions that he posed to others. By his 13th birthday Dr. Powell had successfully learned self-hypnosis to help him in calming him from the hyperactivity. At the age 16 Dr. Powell had completed his first of many psychology text books and at the age of 17 graduated from high school and entered college.

Dr. Powell’s scholar life has been an adventurist and ongoing journey. Completing his first doctorate in 2004 and then went on to obtain two additional doctoral degrees, a Ph.D. in Nutrition and a Ph.D. in Psychology. Dr. Powell has been dually licensed in Idaho, Nevada, Washington DC and North Carolina as a naturopath, oriental medical doctor (acupuncturist) and an advance practitioner of homeopathy. Dr. Powell has served as the president of the Idaho Associate of Naturopathic Physicians and has also served as a board member for the Pastoral Medical Association. Dr. Powell is a certified Health and Wellness Coach as well as a certified person trainer and has donated his time over the five years to the YMCA teaching Tai Chi and mediation classes to their members.

Although the doctors were not equipped to help Dr. Powell overcome his adversities back then it was through the help of qEEG and neurofeedback that Dr. Powell was finally given the answers that he had sought out for all these years. With a little training and a strong motivation to succeed Dr. Powell set out with his best foot forward in an attempt to be the very best that he could be and it did. Since the beginning of his neurofeedback experience doctor Powell has not only scholastically excelled but he took it one step further and complete pilot training to become a private pilot, completed and certified as a PADI dive master, joined the Civil Air Patrol and successfully promoted to Major and serve three years as the commander for his local unit, joined the county search and rescue team where he become certified as a ground team leader, rescue diver and technical rope rescue certified. Dr. Powell has written and published three books, his latest was published 2011, Press the Fix Me Button, a self-help guided manual to assist his clients in overcoming adversity by changing the way they think about their past and a step by step guide toward making positive changes for their future.

Dr. Soutar has published three books on the topic of neurofeedback and conducted workshops on the various aspects of neurofeedback at conferences and clinics in the U.S and Europe.

As a former professor of psychology and sociology, he has had extensive experience in teaching and training at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. Kathie Schofield enjoys working with adult

survivors of abuse, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (military, natural disaster, abuse, etc.); traumatic brain injury, anxiety, bereavement, ADHD, adoption issues, substance abuse, and sexual addictions. As an RN and clinical social worker, I understand medical issues that need to be considered in the overall treatment plan.

I use Brain Avatar Neurofeedback technology as well as other biofeedback. I offer the Recovery Start Kit and LifeStar to individuals and couples struggling with sexual addictions. I am trained in many helpful adjuncts to the traditional treatment, such as EMDR, NET, NADA protocol, somato-emotional release, and craniosacral therapy.

I am a Certified Sexual Addictions Therapist through IITAP. I am also certified in auricular acupuncture for drug withdrawal and use energy psychology as adjuncts to therapy. Tom has been a psychologist for more than

20 years. Tom is a former Marine and did his graduate work in psychology at Temple University. He has done post-graduate work in theology with an emphasis in the integration of psychology and theology. He is certified as a Senior Fellow in biofeedback and EEG biofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. He is identified as a diplomate in Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG).

Tom is a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, the American Academy of Healthcare Providers in the Addictive Disorders, the International Society for the Study of Dissociation (ISNR) and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Western Connecticut State University. She pursued her postgraduate studies in anesthesia at the Hospital of St. Raphael’s School of Nurse Anesthesia in New Haven, Connecticut. Her 25 years as a nurse anesthetist make her uniquely qualified as a provider of both biofeedback and neurofeedback services due to her experience in continuous physiological monitoring. For the past 12 years in private practice, Victoria has created a multi-modality, holistic nursing practice that offers the full spectrum of mind-body therapies from low to high-tech. She believes in caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

Victoria has held BCIA certification in neurofeedback since 2007 and utilizes powerful technology together with QEEG mapping, peripheral biofeedback, guided imagery, mindfulness training and vibro-acoustic music therapy for brain-based problems, such as ADD/ADHD, and Post-Concussion Syndrome. Director of Focus for Living, is licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor. He holds a Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Counseling, a Master of Arts in Christian Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology & Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He additionally completed his doctoral minor in clinical psychology from Walden Universit and serves as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Board Certified in Neurofeedback.

A native Texan, Center completed his undergraduate education at Howard Payne University. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps for more than 20 years as an active duty commissioned officer, retiring in the rank of major. Among his many command and staff assignments overseas and in the US include the Gulf War (1990-1991), of which he is a combat veteran.

Center also has extensive experience in hospital-based psychiatric and substance abuse treatment facilities. He is involved in supervising and mentoring beginning counselors and neurotherapists. Dr. Center also has post-doctoral training and clinical experience in Quantitative Electroencephalogram-guided neurofeedback (qEEG-guided NFB).

He remains actively engaged in teaching, research, and clinical supervision of counselor interns and mentoring of neurotherapists. He has taught graduate and undergraduate psychology and counseling courses as an adjunct professor at Hill College, Liberty University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition, he is actively involved in promoting brain-based education among local schools through seminars and workshops for faculty, staff, and administrators and serves as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Christian Coaching Alliance, and Society for Christian Psychology.
